I.
COGNIZABLE OFFENCE
(a) If the complaint lodged falls
under cognizable offence as per 154 Cr.P.C then a case will be registered
in the prescribed format “FIR” and a copy of the FIR will be given to
the complainant free of cost after obtaining the signature of the
complainant as acknowledgement (Mandatory). FIR copy also will be
available online http://citizenportal.police.py.gov.in/citizen/downloadfirs.aspx.
Original FIR and Original Complaint will be dispatched to the
court on the same day or on the next day depending on the time factor.
Final report will be sent to court for disposal.
(b) The complainant has every right
to enquire about the status of his complaint and its progress. The status
of the investigation will be intimated by the officer concerned, if
otherwise not engaged with any other urgent work.
II.
NON-COGNIZABLE CASE
If
the complaint lodged falls under non Cognizable offence as per section 155
Cr.P.C then entries should be made in the prescribed format Non-Cognizable
Register. An enquiry will be conducted calling both the Petitioner &
Counter petitioner. The
conclusion upon the enquiry made shall be entered in the respective column
of the NC register and it will be handed over to the Petitioner / Counter
petitioner after taking their signature on it.
III.
PETITIONS
(a)
Petitions will be received with due acknowledgement on the copy of
the petition by the person receiving it.
(b) The SHO / In charge Officer will enquire both petitioner and
counter petitioner to ascertain and resolve the issue.
The conclusion arrived will be intimated.
(c)
The person to whom the petition was addressed will intimate the petitioner
on the final disposal / action taken on it.
GRIEVANCES
REDRESSAL
1.
The names and telephone numbers of all superior police officer in the
order of hierarchy is prominently displayed near the Exit of each police
station, so that the public can know about them and can approach them
directly, if required.
2.
The Senior Police Officers like Circle Inspectors and the Superintendents
of Police usually visit their respective Police Stations on fixed days and
timing, if otherwise not engaged with any other urgent work. This also has
been prominently displayed in each police station to enable public to meet
them in person, if required.
3. Online grievance Redressal was also available in the Police
website, where email to PUBLIC GRIEVANCE CELL OFFICER is available. Our
