mobile application “MITRA” by Puducherry Police
was launched by His Excellency the Lt. Governor
Puducherry on 28.02.16 in presence of Hon’ble CM, CS
and IT Secretary and dedicated for the citizens
of Puducherry UT.
MITRA is the 1st
in class in India Police.
No other State or UT had developed such an app
triggering assistance from trusted care-takers
without opening the Mobile and application.
It
works based on the
users “Profile” and users “My Emergency Contacts”
filled up by the user, it can be used in any part of
the country by citizens in distress of any type even
though it is customized for the Puducherry UT.
It
also send email if online.
