The Solai Nagar OP
was established on 15.01.1990. The Out-Post is about 1 ½ Km
North East from PS Muthialpet and 3 Kms North from Police Head
Quarter. It is functioning in the Govt. Building situated at
Solai Nagar, Muthialpet. It covers the villages
falling on the Coastal Belt of Muthialpet PS limit & Muthialpet
Commune Limit. General Occupation of the villagers is fishing.
Apart from these members of Sri Aurobindo Ashram, other State
labours working in the Industrial sectors have also made their
settlement.
The Out-Post is attached with Police
residential Quarters consisting Type –II quarters 2 Nos,
Type-I Quarters-6 Nos.
