TOPOGRAPHY

The Bahour Police Station is situated on the southern side of Pondicherry at a distance of about 20 kms from Pondicherry and about 4 kms west from Cuddalore ECR Main road at Kirumampakkam. This Police Station has an Out-Post at Karaiyambuthur about 16 kms southwest direction.

The bordering Police Stations are Kirumampakkam Police Station on the East Reddichavady Police Station on the North. Cuddalore NT Police Station on the South. Thookkanampakkam Police Station on the West and Nellikuppam Police Station on the South West. About 75% of lands are covered by agriculture lands. The General occupation of the public is agriculture. A Historical Temple called Moolanatha Samy Koil is Situated in the heart of the village Bahour which was constructed during the the Chozha period i.e about 1000 AD and there is a lake called Singiri lake which is a water resource for agriculture. River, Pennaiyar flows on the southern side of this village Bahour.
