TOPOGRAPHY
This Nettapakkam police station is situated at 30 Kms southwest
from Puducherry. This PS comes under the Nettapakkam circle limits
and also comes under the jurisdiction of Nettapakkam commune
panchayat limits. The Nettapakkam Police is surrounded by
Kandamangalam Police station Limit on the Eastern and Northern
sides at a distance of 3 Kms and 5 Kms respectively. On southern
side Valavanur Police station limit starts which is 9 kms away
from the Nettapakkam Police Station The Police Station Nettapakkam
has one out Post at a distance of 3 Kms west at Madukarai. The
village is surrounded by paddy fields, Sugar cane, Cotton Ragi
etc. are being cultivated and most of the people residing in the
PS limits are engaged in Agriculture work and about 15% of the
people engaged in weaving. The Police Station has been
functioning in the Government building since from 1990
The Nettapakkam
Police station is functioning in the ground floor and the
Nettapakkam Circle Office is functioning in the First floor since
25.03.2002. Also attached with residential Quarters for one SI, 2
HCs, and 13 – PCs which was inaugurated on 06.01.1990. A Pump
house is also installed to facilitate water supply for the
occupants of the Quarters.
