Thirubuvanai
police station is situated at a distance of 25 Kms west to Pondicherry
in Thirubuvanai village, Mannadipet commune. The Police station
lies about 900 meters north of Pondicherry to Villupuram high way,
The police station is surrounded by the jurisdictions of
Kandamangalam police station (Tamilnadu) on East direction ,
Valavanoor Police station ((Tamilnadu) on west direction,
Thirukkanur police station on the North direction and the
Nettapakkam police station on the South direction. The building
was inaugurated by His. Excellency H.L Khurana, Governor of Tamil
Nadu and Administrator of Pondicherry on 2nd June 1984
. The Police Station Building Contains One S.I Quarter, Three
H.C’s Quarters and Thirteen P.C’s Quarters.
The Police station
situated at a distance of 22 kms from Head Quarters lies on the Villupuram
Main Road (NH
45A). It is the west boarder Police Station in the Union
Territory of Pondicherry.
The area under this
Police station is mainly Agricultural Oriented. 10 Major
Industries and 15 Small Scale Industries are there. The people
living is either agriculturist or Agriculture Labour. Disputes
regarding Lands and connected matters are the issues reported in
the police station. In crime arena the area is insignificant.
There is a weekly fair on Tuesday at Madagadipet Sandai Thoppu.
People from almost all neighboring villages used to visit for
purchase of cattle’s and vegetables.
